SUBMISSION CATEGORIES

Short Films

SXSW London welcomes short films - up to 30 minutes long including credits - spanning drama, animation, documentary and artists' films of all production techniques, forms and budgets. Projects must have been completed after 1 December 2023 and should not be available online for streaming (either free or via an on-demand service) in the UK prior to SXSW London 2025.

Music Videos

We welcome music videos of all genres and styles and there is no restriction on the length. Projects must be the official music video for the song, and the artist or label must have approved its creation. Projects must have been completed in 2023, 2024 or be on track for completion by March 2025 and can already be premiered online prior to the festival

You can enter as many films as you like, each entry requires a separate submission form, fee and separate upload.
Yes, projects must have been completed after 1 December 2023, and should not have been publicly screened, broadcast, or distributed in London prior to the Festival 2025.
Yes. There are no restrictions on the premiere status of the music video. It may have premiered online prior to the festival.
We accept rough cuts, or work-in-progress submissions. If submitting a WIP, please detail what elements of your submission are incomplete and when the project is expected to be completed. The SXSW London Programming Team will only be able to watch one version of your project.
There is a submission fee to enter your film. All submissions are final and there are no refunds. If you are struggling to pay the submission fee, please email the Screen Festival team on [email protected]
