SXSW London Accessibility Policy
SXSW London is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible experience for everyone. Accessibility is a key part of our planning, and we work closely with our venue partners, suppliers, and access specialists to ensure that all participants can enjoy and engage fully with the event.
Our Commitment
SXSW London 2026 will comply with the Equality Act 2010 and follow recognised accessibility standards
We aim to remove barriers, anticipate diverse needs, and make reasonable adjustments to ensure equal access for all. Accessibility remains a shared responsibility across our entire team, from event design to on-site delivery.
Venues and Step-Free Access
SXSW London 2026 will take place across [insert final number] venues in Shoreditch. Detailed access information for each venue, including entrances, facilities, and transport options, will be available on our app ahead of the event.
Facilities and Support
The following accessibility measures will be in place:
Free Essential Companion Passes intended for those who care for persons with disabilities, including people with hidden disabilities. Subject to proof.
Service animals that are trained specifically to assist a person with disabilities are allowed. This does not include emotional support animals.
Captioning at all main stage sessions.
Hearing loops in primary performance areas.
Dedicated wheelchair places at conference venues.
Electric wheelchair and Mobility scooter charging points at Brick Lane Yard
Calm/ Quiet and Prayer spaces at selected venues.
Changing Places facilities (High Dependency Unit) in key location.
Staff training on accessibility and inclusive service.
Accessibility team at each venue as your point of contact but not to replace your essential companion.
Invisible disability identifiers available for attendees who wish to use them.
Step-free routes between public areas.
Limited accessible transport options between venues (to be confirmed closer to the event).
Accessibility map ensuring attendees have all the access location one place.
Essential Companion Passes
Please email hello@sxswlondon.com if you require an essential companion to accompany you to the festival. We will help arrange the appropriate pass, provided the relevant requirements are met.
