GIANT STEPS is a travelling sound system from the team behind Brilliant Corners, created in 2017 to explore music through high-fidelity sound in intimate spaces that feel more like a house party than a club.
Built from a collection of carefully sourced, restored and adapted hi-fi and professional audio equipment, the sound system has hosted hundreds of events featuring some of the world's most respected DJs and record collectors. Over the years, it has travelled to destinations across the UK and beyond, and annually hosts its own stage at Houghton Festival in Norfolk.
GIANT STEPS is currently in residence at The Bath House in Hackney Wick, where it hosts regular Sunday sessions from 16:00–22:30, alongside occasional late-night Saturday events.
The format centres around extended vinyl-only sets, typically lasting six to seven hours, giving DJs the opportunity to take listeners on a deeper journey through their musical influences. Sets often move across genres, tempos and eras, reflecting a broad and personal approach to record selection.
