Bristol-based quintet Factor 50 touch down somewhere between the boxes of Crank Wave, neo-folk and indie rock. Using a plethora of instrumentation and a diary like lyrical honesty, they have built themselves a reputation for their lively shows across the UK.
Recently they have had a string of supports with big names in the scene such as The Orielles, FEET, Opus Kink, KEG and Personal Trainer.
Their new EP, The Core, is released on Friday 3 April. Recorded over two years, it took shape across independent studios in Bristol, home studio setups in a Norfolk cottage, and was later mixed in London. In ture DIY spirit, the EP was written by Eddie and the band, produced and mixed by Tom, with artwork by Flo and Eddie.
Factor 50 are Eddie Akers, Tom Oliver, Florence Stirrup, Zach Kendall, and Henri Swinton-Stott.
