AndriÓmarssonis one of the driving forces behind Iceland’s emergence as a global powerhouse in high-end scripted television and film. Active in the industry for over two decades, he brings end-to-end expertise across development, financing, production, and international co-production, underpinned by hands-on experience in roles ranging from camera operator to line producer.

As CEO of Glassriver - one of Iceland’s leading production companies and a key contributor to more than half of the country’s scripted TV output in recent years -Andrihas played a central role in shaping both the company’s creative vision and its international strategy. Under his leadership, Glassriver has become a prominent co-production partner, successfully bridging Iceland with several global markets.

He has served as producer across the company’s entire slate, including Dark Ocean, a film feature co-production with Canada’s Terminal City Pictures; the scripted series Hot Stuff, co-produced with Romania’s Idea Film; Masquerade with Nicholas Weinstock, executive producer of Apple TV+ hit show,Severance,and the latest series release, Cold Haven, a collaboration with Portugal’s SPi, which earned nominations at the Banff World Media Festival Rockie Awards and the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards.
