Chris Sherwood

Chris joined the NSPCC in January 2025 from the RSPCA, where he had served as CEO since 2018. He was previously CEO of Relate, having been promoted from Director of Policy and External Affairs, and has also held senior roles at Nesta and Scope. With over 20 years’ experience in the voluntary sector, Chris is a trustee of NCVO and Chair of The Charity Awards. He has served on several boards, including the World Federation for Animals, Eurogroup for Animals and the Centre for Ageing Better. In 2025, he was recognised by Attitude magazine as one of its 101 LGBTQ Trailblazers.
