Glen Gowers is CEO and co-founder of Basecamp Research. With a background in Engineering Biology (Oxford, Imperial, GSK), he conducted the first successful off-grid DNA sequencing expedition on Western Europe’s largest ice cap, which was the genesis of Basecamp Research. The company is now a frontier AI lab that uses previously untapped evolutionary insights to create new medicines. Fast Company named Basecamp Research in the top 10 Most Innovative Companies in biotech in 2025.
