Mel B is an iconic figure in the entertainment industry as a member of the Spice Girls. More recently she’s become acclaimed for her work as a domestic abuse advocate following the publication of her best selling biography Brutally Honest.
A judge on America’s biggest TV show America’s Got Talent, Mel is also known as a hugely popular star of shows from the Masked Singer to X Factor and Dancing With the Stars.
In her youth she was the symbol of Girl Power but has carried that message on throughout her life and career as a passionate advocate for survivors. A Patron of Women’s Aid, Mel has spoken at The World Economic Forum in Davos and in the Houses of Parliament to break the silence on abuse.
At 51, she is also a proud ambassador for Revive menopause and has also spoken widely on the subject of how it affects women and their mental health.
In 2022, MelB was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire from the late Queen Elizabeth for her campaigning work. In 2024 she received an honorary doctorate from Leeds Beckett University for her work supporting domestic abuse victims and her impact in the music world.
She currently lives on a farm in Yorkshire.
