As an angel investor, he received the award “Best European Angel Investment” in 2012 as one of his investments (United Resins) reached 24.5 million euros in revenues within the first year of operations.
One of his investments became unicorn in 2022. In 2000, he played a pivotal role as one of the key shareholders in Novabase's IPO on Euronext.

He chaired the European Commission Expert Group for support of Slovak and Romanian governments in designing and implementing entrepreneurship and innovation policies.
