Rachael Castell

Rachael is the Producer of BIFA Springboard, the British Independent Film Awards' pioneering programme designed to support writers, directors and producers to continue and develop their careers after producing a first feature. As a Learning and Development professional she is passionate about curating, co-designing and delivering inspirational, emotive and educative programmes and content-driven experiences for clients in the Film, Theatre, Event Cinema and Regenerative Business Sectors. Rachael always takes care to understand the needs of each individual cohort and creates each programme accordingly, creating safe spaces for expression, sharing, collaboration, emergence, emotion and fun. Alongside BIFA, her clients include BlinkInk and Blink Industries, multiple film and arts festivals, Art Clubbers and the ‘growth sector’ Boroughs in London, the British Library and more. Alumni from her courses have gone on to create longform series for Disney+ and Netflix, been longlisted for the Academy Awards, created work with celebrated artists, founded successful small businesses and connected with long- term collaborators. She proudly remains in touch with many of them.
