R&B is a Seoul-based bass duo formed by producers and DJs rom and BAAWLA. Combining rom's heavy low-end
sound and experimental rhythm with BAAWLA's hybrid approach rooted in UK Garage, UK Bass, and Baile Funk,
the pair has quickly become one of the most talked-about acts in Seoul's club scene.
The project first gained attention through the ANTICLIMAX EP, released via Quality Goods Records, and has since
built serious momentum through their ongoing "R&B Edit" series. The edits have become near-unavoidable on Seoul
dancefloors, with virtually every working DJ in the city running them in rotation. That reach has extended well
beyond Korea: UK artists including Saint Ludo have picked up and played the edits, earning the duo international
support and recognition within the global bass community.
Beyond the booth, rom and BAAWLA have grown a strong presence on social media through reels and short-form
content, connecting with a wider audience and establishing themselves as a voice for a new generation of selectors
in the Korean scene. As members of SPIN Da Up, R&B continues to expand across Asia, bringing their club-driven
energy to international stages while representing the next wave of Asian bass music.
