A cursed blue-eyed boy seeks love in a remote mountain ruled by superstition
Petros (Giorgos Karydis) spent his whole life trying to understand why his strict grandmother and overly protective mother made him wear a cumbersome face mask to hide his eyes from the rest of the world. When an elderly man dies in their remote mountain village soon after locking eyes with the teen, Petros finally understands why: his light-blue eyes carry a curse. Shunned by the community and afraid for his life, Petros escapes with the help of his mother in Thanasis Neofotistos’s poetic, beautifully shot queer allegory on the dangers of ostracism.
