Thomas Jordan

Thomas Jordan began his career at Pixar Animation Studios in 1997 as a production intern on “A Bug’s Life.” In 1998, he was hired fulltime as a technical director. With a focus on rendering, shading and lighting for both the characters and sets departments, Jordan worked on “A Bug’s Life,” “Toy Story 2,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “Finding Nemo,” “The Incredibles,” “Cars,” “WALL-E,” “Up,” “Cars 2,” “Brave,” “Inside Out,” “The Good Dinosaur,” “Finding Dory,” “Cars 3” and “Incredibles 2.” He was a character supervisor on “Cars, ” “Up” and “Brave.” Jordan served as sets supervisor on “Toy Story 4,” before working as a character shading and grooming artist on “Soul.” On “Lightyear,” Jordan was a shading supervisor, before becoming a character supervisor on “Elio.” Most recently, Jordan served as the VFX Supervisor on Pixar’s upcoming feature film, “Toy Story 5,” which is set to release in theaters on June 19, 2026. Raised in San Carlos, Calif., Jordan graduated from University of California at Berkeley in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and computer science. Jordan resides in San Francisco with his wife Anna and daughters May and Tess.
