Frank Rimalovski

Managing Director, NYU Innovation Venture Fund

Frank, an entrepreneur, investor, and educator, founded and leads the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute, providing training, mentorship, community, and funding to students, faculty, and researchers. He also established the NYU Innovation Venture Fund, supporting 41 NYU startups in life sciences/healthcare, information technology, and consumer products. Frank co-authored two acclaimed entrepreneurship books: "Talking to Humans" and "Testing with Humans," both with Giff Constable.

Prior to joining NYU in 2010, Frank co-founded New Venture Partners, a venture capital firm investing in spinouts from corporate research labs. He served as the Director/Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Lucent/Bell Labs’ New Ventures Group and held roles in product management and marketing at Sun Microsystems, Apple, and NeXT.

Frank is the NYU Faculty Lead for the NSF’s NY I-Corps Hub and has taught entrepreneurship courses at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering and the Courant Institute. He’s also mentored at Techstars and served as an advisory board member for the Tufts Entrepreneurship Center.

Frank earned his BA from Tufts University and his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
