Jamie Sefton began his career as a writer and editor for leading games magazines, including the iconic PC Zone, before becoming Managing Director of Game Republic, the UK games industry network and trade body that won the Supporting Star Award at Develop:Brighton 2024.
Under his leadership, Game Republic has grown to more than 2,000 members across game studios, indie developers, educators, and service providers, delivering major industry events, business development support, and networking opportunities. He oversees flagship initiatives including the Game Republic Awards, GaMaYo events, and the New Horizons conference, which attracts internationally recognised speakers and industry leaders. Jamie also leads Department for Business and Trade missions to the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco and has organised investment and industry events for organisations including GamesIndustry.biz, ReedPOP, local authorities, and cultural institutions.
