Jeremy Corbyn is the Founder and Parliamentary Leader of Your Party, and the Member of Parliament for Islington North, a constituency he has represented since 1983. With more than four decades in Parliament, he is one of the longest-serving MPs in the House of Commons and has built a reputation as a committed advocate for social justice, peace, and economic equality.
Jeremy previously served as Leader of the Labour Party and Leader of the Opposition (2015–2020), during which he helped shift the national conversation toward tackling inequality, investing in public services, and expanding democratic participation. In the 2017 general election, Labour achieved its largest increase in vote share since the Second World War, gaining 30 seats and mobilising a large grassroots movement of supporters and volunteers.
Alongside his parliamentary work, Jeremy has spent decades campaigning for peace, human rights, and international solidarity. He served as Chair of the Stop the War Coalition (2011–2015) and later founded the Peace & Justice Project, which works with movements around the world to promote diplomacy, social justice, and economic democracy.
In recognition of his long-standing commitment to peace and non-violence, Jeremy was awarded the International Gandhi Peace Award by the Gandhi Foundation in 2013.
Across more than forty years in public life, Jeremy has combined parliamentary service with movement-building and campaigning, continuing to work with communities, trade unions, and social movements to advance peace, equality, and democratic change.
