Jeremy Scahill is co-founder of Drop Site News and a veteran war correspondent and investigative journalist. He is author of the international best-selling books “Dirty Wars: The World Is a Battlefield” and “Blackwater: The Rise of the World’s Most Powerful Mercenary Army.” Scahill has won some of the top prizes in journalism, including two George Polk Awards and an Oscar nomination. Scahill was previously a Senior Correspondent at The Intercept and one of its three founding editors. He has reported from Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen, Nigeria, the former Yugoslavia, and elsewhere across the globe. He is most recently known for his groundbreaking coverage of the Gaza genocide and the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran. Scahill has served as the national security correspondent for The Nation and “Democracy Now!”. Scahill hosts podcasts and livestreams for Drop Site and regularly appears as an analyst on Al Jazeera and other media outlets.
