Lu Jackson is a founder working at the intersection of technology, culture, and healthcare. She is the Founder of Craic, the global operating system for the comedy industry, and Craic Health, which is pioneering Comedy-on-Prescription® as a measurable, scalable, prevention-first model for healthcare systems. Her mission is to enable the world to laugh more by empowering the people, businesses, and systems behind it.

Through Craic Health, Lu is building accredited, paid professional pathways, with NHS-validated outcomes, helping to strengthen and future-proof a creative workforce navigating rapid change in an AI-accelerated era. Craic CRM underpins this ecosystem, providing the operational infrastructure the comedy industry has long lacked, allowing professionals and businesses to focus more on creativity versus admin.

For 25 years, Lu has worked across entertainment, healthcare, and digital infrastructure. She defined a category when she co-founded VidZone—the world’s first online and mobile music streaming service and independent digital music distributor. Her work today is focused on proving that comedy is not only culturally valuable, but commercially scalable and increasingly relevant to public health.

Alongside building companies, Lu has spent the past four years working directly with policymakers and government to drive systemic change for the comedy industry. In March 2026, she founded CRAFT (the Comedy Representation & Artform Trust charity) the first dedicated national body for the entire comedy industry ecosystem. It has UK government support, including cross-party political patrons, and exists to give comedy the infrastructure, policy representation, and professional support long afforded to other industries, including music, theatre, and sport.

Major government roundtables and campaigns Lu has led include:

  • Mar 2025: First comedy roundtable in UK Parliament (MPs)
  • Jun 2025: First Comedy panel at the inaugural SXSW London
  • Oct 2025: London business and growth roundtable (MPs, Deputy Mayor of London)
  • Nov 2025: Launches first Podcast-on-Prescription live and online podcast—a men's creative health project with Dr Simon Opher MP,  the NHS and Brimscombe Mill
