Neil Chordia is a UK-based film and television producer with over 27 years’ experience spanning feature film, high-end TV drama, development, financing, production and international sales and distribution. He is Head of Film & TV at Hopefield (formerly ie: entertainment), where he develops and produces distinctive, talent-led projects across film and scripted series. Over the course of his career he has held roles at companies including United International Pictures and Myriad Pictures and co-founded Eclipse Films, which later became part of the Eclipse Global Entertainment group. He has worked across both studio-backed and independent productions in the UK and internationally.
His credits include Urban Hymn, directed by Michael Caton-Jones and starring Letitia Wright and Shirley Henderson, as well as major productions such as Kenneth Branagh’s Sleuth starring Jude Law and Michael Caine, Istvan Szabo’s Being Julia starring an Oscar-nominated Annette Bening, Pablo Larrain’s Spencer starring Kristin Stewart and numerous HETV shows for Sister Pictures. He recently executive produced the BAFTA-nominated and IFTA-winning short film Nostalgie, directed by Kathryn Ferguson and written by Stacey Gregg. Neil is a full BAFTA member, sits on the BIFA Nominations Committee, co-chairs the BIFA Breakthrough Producer subgroup and mentors emerging talent through organisations including ScreenSkills, BIFA Springboard, Film London and Creative UK.
