Oliver Shorttle is Professor of Planetary Chemistry at the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on exoplanets, planetary evolution and the conditions that make life possible in the universe. By combining geology, astronomy and planetary science, he explores how we can characterize distant worlds, assess their habitability and better understand what makes Earth unique. Oliver will join artist Thijs Biersteker on stage to reflect on the search for life beyond our planet, the future of exoplanet research, and the role of collaboration between science, creativity and immersive experiences in helping people engage with some of humanity’s biggest questions.
