Pippa Fernandes is Deputy Director, Strategy and Impact for i.Ai, the UK government's primary applied AI unit. Jointly with the Department for Education, i.AI has been leading work to enable schools to access safe, high-quality and effective AI tutoring tools. The work aims to support up to 450,000 children on free school meals with personalised one-to-one learning. Prior to her role in i.AI, Pippa has led on wider AI strategy, and has held roles across government, including in No10, working on labour market inactivity.
