Richard is Chief Executive of AECOM in Europe and India, responsible for leading its business across these markets with a focus on delivering continued excellence for clients and strengthening collaboration across the company’s global network to secure growth.
With more than 30 years of industry experience and over a decade of service with AECOM, Richard brings deep expertise in infrastructure, planning, and design.
After graduating from the University of Liverpool with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1989, Richard began his career with the UK-based AECOM legacy company, Bullen and Partners. He subsequently served in executive and leadership positions at major, multinational engineering and design firms where he developed particular expertise in the delivery of major government and aviation programmes.
Most recently, he was Chief Executive of AECOM’s global Buildings and Places business, overseeing a talented team of over 10,000 people providing a diverse range of management, advisory, design and specialist technical services for major public and private sector clients around the world.
