Sarah Angold is a multi-founder, material innovator and sustainability

strategist redefining the future of fashion. As Co-Founder and CEO of

29acacia, Sarah is tackling one of the industry’s most urgent

challenges: the sustainable materials crisis. 29acacia transforms

agricultural waste into high-quality, scalable textiles using proprietary

technology that converts rough, inconsistent fibres into soft, durable

yarn. The result is a breakthrough material with one-tenth the carbon

footprint of conventional cotton, one-ten-thousandth of the water use,

and a fully transparent supply chain that pays low-income farmers for

their waste — turning environmental liability into economic

opportunity.

Sarah is a published author in Sustainability Governance (Routledge) and sought-after industry futures ambassador, contributing to UK Parliamentary roundtables on fashion’s transition. Her cross-disciplinary expertise extends to circular systems, supply-chain transformation and multi-stakeholder strategy.

Previously, Sarah founded a global accessories brand selling to luxury stores like Harvey Nichols, Joyce Hong Kong and Bergdorf Goodman. Her designs have graced the covers of Vogue across the world and are still coveted for the red carpet by celebrities from Cara Delavigne to Kim Kardashian. Launches include a Sarah Angold for Topshop line. Sarah’s collaborative ethos has led to projects across a breadth of industries from designing concept cars for Toyota in Japan, to bespoke 3D printed wearable tech for Avery Dennison and exhibitions at the Design Museum. Advisory board member at Instituto Marangoni and mentor at Imperial College London, Sarah is driving fashion toward an equitable, regenerative and tech-powered future.
