Shams Ahmed

Shams Ahmed is an Emmy Award-winning producer, music director, and arranger based in Los Angeles, and the first Bangladeshi-American to win an Emmy for Music Direction, for his work on Ragged Old Flag: An American Chorus at Super Bowl LVII. He is a co-founder of the breakout pop/R&B group Citizen Queen and of Acapop!, the youth music brand featured on America’s Got Talent and The Kelly Clarkson Show. His recent work includes vocal-producing Invincible, a landmark English/Hindi crossover by Shreya Ghoshal with Pentatonix, arranging the viral Hilary Duff commencement performance that swept social media in 2026, and co-writing an anthem with Jacob Collier. As Director of Advancement at A Cappella Academy, he champions the next generation of vocal artists, and is a voting member of the Recording Academy.
