Adrian Monck is Professor at the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) in Abu Dhabi, and Senior Adviser to UNCTAD, the UN’s trade and development body. He chairs the editorial board of the Villars Review, a journal of the green economy, and writes the newsletter 7 Things on geopolitics and the resilience transit. He was previously Managing Director at the World Economic Forum, where he led communications and public engagement for over a decade. He is an award-winning television journalist, author and academic. His work focuses on how institutions, markets and narratives reshape themselves around climate, nature and technology.
