Caroline Rush CBE is a globally recognised creative industries and sustainability leader, working across fashion, music, culture and placemaking. During 16 years as Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council, she played a transformative role in the evolution of the British fashion industry — strengthening its global reputation, championing emerging talent, advancing sustainability and diversity initiatives, and building an internationally recognised ecosystem connecting creativity, education, business and investment. Under her leadership, London Fashion Week and The Fashion Awards became globally influential platforms for British creativity and cultural impact. Caroline now works internationally advising governments, businesses and creative organisations on sector growth, sustainability and destination strategy. Until Spring 2025, she served as Chair of the UK Creative Industries Trade and Investment Board and is currently a Board Member of the Oxford Street Development Corporation. She is also Business Lead at U:Nation, the music and entertainment venture developing talent, IP and cultural experiences across the MENA region, and Co-Founder of SurpRice — a next-generation materials innovation business focused on sustainable alternatives to fossil-fuel synthetics.
