Fela Oke

Founder / Director

Hyphen8

Fela Oke is the Founder and Group CEO of Hyphen8, an Africa-forward entertainment, sports and consumer venture ecosystem built to institutionalise talent, scale stories and convert cultural influence into long-term ownership. With more than two decades of experience across music, film, television, sports and digital media, he has built Hyphen8 as a modern trust-to-equity platform spanning representation, content, brand partnerships, rights management, distribution and new ventures.

Before founding Hyphen8, Fela built his career across the commanding heights of African media, entertainment and cultural business, working at the intersection of rights, distribution, monetisation and strategic growth. That breadth of experience has given him a rare cross-sector lens on how entertainment and sports can move beyond visibility and cultural relevance to become structured engines of ownership, commercial value, trade and global influence.

At the centre of his work is a clear thesis: Africa’s next generation of value will be built at the intersection of talent, intellectual property and institutional scale. He builds where talent, rights and influence meet, and turns cultural relevance into lasting ownership. He does not just move culture forward — he helps build the systems that own it.

Fela is widely respected for his ability to bridge creators, brands, investors and institutions, translating cultural momentum into tangible business infrastructure. He is a sought-after speaker on talent, ownership, IP, distribution and the future of Africa’s creative and sports economy. Through Hyphen8, he is building the architecture that helps talent become owners, stories become assets and African influence scale globally.
