Maia Beth is a BBC Radio 1 presenter and DJ from Washington, Tyne and Wear. She gave Chappell Roan her first UK radio play on BBC Radio 1, and has helped support artists like Noah Kahan, Myles Smith and Alessi Rose from the very start of their journey. A trusted name in new music Maia Beth often hosts album launches for Universal Music, interviewing artists like Zayn Malik, Sam Tompkins, Fletcher, Conan Gray, 5S0S and Mika. She was the Mercury Prize 2025 socials host in Newcastle interviewing many of the shortlisted artists including Album of the Year winner Sam Fender! As a DJ she specialises in high energy disco house sets performing everywhere from Glastonbury to KOKO to the Ministry of Sound, as well as after parties for the BRITs and BAFTAs. You may have also spotted her DJing the Great North Run finish line! She works for BBC Introducing hosting their new music festival content on and off stage at festivals including Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds and BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend. Maia is a host on the Gladiators live tour, coming to the North East for the first time this November! A huge wrestling fan she’s also the backstage interviewer for many UK indie wrestling promotions (Progress, Riot Cabaret, Eve Riot Grrls).
