Yaw Owusu is a Liverpool-based music and music culture creative consultant working at the intersection of music, culture and infrastructure. Through his consultancy Nothin But The Music (NBTM), he designs and delivers high-stakes, reputation-sensitive programmes that build long-term legacy - strengthening ecosystems, shifting narratives and creating practical pathways for artists, industry professionals and communities too often overlooked.

Across the last two decades, Yaw has become a trusted creative consultant to major organisations including Google, BBC, Universal Music Group, MTV, BET, MOBO, Levi’s, Liverpool Football Club, Bauer, Diageo and Liverpool City Council. His work is recognised for combining cultural authority, creative ambition and delivery rigour, and for advancing equity through initiatives such as Google’s UNION BLACK, POWER UP, MusicFutures, the ReMap report and Liverpool Against Racism.

Yaw has played a central role in reimagining Liverpool’s contemporary music offer, including serving as Artistic Director of Liverpool International Music Festival and helping build LIMF Academy into an award-winning talent development model. Nationally, he is the senior manager of POWER UP (PRS Foundation), supporting exceptional Black British music creators and executives.

In 2025, Yaw was named Liverpool Citizen of Honour and a BBC Radio 1Xtra Future Figure.
