Bangla House is a new cultural platform at South by Southwest London that brings together voices across music, art, film, food, technology, media, and entrepreneurship through the lens of Bangladesh and its global diaspora. Situated in Brick Lane at the Kobi Nazrul Centre, a historic landmark for the British Bangladeshi community, Bangla House creates a space where culture, trade, and ideas intersect within one of the world’s leading creative gatherings.
The inaugural edition of Bangla House is being co-curated by the Mubarak Ali Foundation, the Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation, and the British Bangladeshi Power & Inspiration Foundation. Together, the three organisations are working to showcase the depth, creativity, and global relevance of Bangladeshi and diaspora talent while building meaningful connections across cultural and creative industries.
As the first Bangla House at SXSW London, this edition represents an important moment for cultural diplomacy and visibility. Through conversations, performances, exhibitions, and collaborations, the platform aims to present a contemporary and multidimensional vision of Bangladesh and its diaspora to an international audience.
